For future games, here are some tips on how to play the NYT Spelling Bee

Once you're on the NYT Spelling Bee website, all you need to do in order to get started is to press the 'Play' button.

From here, you'll be shown a honeycomb-shaped word grid, and the name of the game here is to make words with as many letters as possible. You must include the word in the centre of the honeycomb grid, though, which will be highlighted with a yellow background.

When putting together your answers, be sure to remember that while you can use a letter more than once when building a word, they will have to be at least four letters long. What's more, the longer a word is, the more points that you'll earn - so you'll want to get out your thesauruses and focus on words with more letters for a higher overall score.

If you're struggling to pick out words from what NYT refers to as the 'Hive', we'd suggest using the refresh icon located just below the game board (the looping circular icon with arrows) - it's surprising how much this feature can be very useful in providing you with more clues as to what answers can be made in each daily NYT Spelling Bee game.
