The P90 is a common SMG in multiplayer shooters, with its rapid fire rate and huge magazine making it a favourite amongst many, but what kind of weapon loadout should you use to make the most of it in XDefiant?

Attachments

  • Barrel: Rapid Fire
  • Front Rail: PEQ-15
  • Rear Grip: Leather-Wrapped
  • Magazine: Quick Mag
  • Stock: Padded Stock

My P90 build is all about maximising your potential in close-quarters combat. The gun already excels in this area, and you can push it even further at the cost of being worse in more medium-to-long-range engagements.

The Rapid Fire Barrel does what it says on the tin and makes the gun burn through lead before you have time to blink, meaning a well-aimed burst at a nearby enemy will shred them.

Complimenting this is the PEQ-15, which reduces the overall spread when firing from the hip. Considering this build is designed around being close to your enemies, you won't always need to bother with aiming down sight, and this attachment ensures you'll still hit your target.

The Leather-Wrapped Rear Grip boosts your accuracy for when you do need to ADS, and the Padded Stock does the same. Both end up cancelling out the negative effects of the Rapid Fire attachment, meaning they're vital.

The Quick Mag is a good way to finish off as the P90 does suffer from a slower reload speed compared to most SMGs.

You could also throw a Barrel Extender onto the build for extra damage at short and medium distances, but this will make your recoil a little harder to control. If you opt for this, I would switch out the Padded Stock for a Precision Stock instead.

Equipment

  • Device: Flash Grenade
  • Secondary: 686 Magnum

For this build, I find a Flash Grenade is the most useful of the throwable options. You'll be burning rubber as you dash around the map, so the speed at which the flash goes off is helpful for clearing rooms, dealing with the enemies inside, and moving on to your next target.

The 686 Magnum is the better secondary option here because you'll need some range if you're forced into a long-distance fight. If you can hit your shots, the magnum will two-shot enemies to the head and three-shot enemies to the body, even at 50 metres.
