What To Do After Godrick In Elden Ring

If you are wondering what to do after Godrick in Elden Ring, you wouldn't be the only one. Elden Ring is a ridiculously massive and open game that never outright tells its players where to go or what to do. However, as the game continues to expand, some players are a little confused on what to do after defeating the second boss Godrick. However, we've explored further into the Lands Between, and have found out where and what you should be doing as you carry on throughout the game. Here's what to do after Godrick in Elden Ring.

What To Do After Godrick In Elden Ring: Godrick's Great Rune

Upon defeating Godrick (finally!), you'll pick up Godrick's Great Rune, but find that it is actually without power. You'll need to backtrack through the castle, to the Limgrave Tower Bridge in the quest to reactivate it.

To get there, spawn at the Rampart Tower Grace, where you will need to exit the room, run and jump across onto the nearby rooftop in an east direction. Drop once more and you'll come across a barricaded space full of enemies, which you can try and run through, however it can be difficult. 

Head to the right and run down a set of stairs, watching out for the fire cannons and archers. Once you get to the bottom of the stairs you'll want to go to the immediate left. If you can try and sneak through the area it would be in your best interest as there is a large Vanguard Lion blocking your route.

Sneak through the doorway or run if you must, and you will find the Grace site immediately after a room full of kneeling knight figures. 

What To Do After Godrick In Elden Ring: The Three Golems

Once you have rested up, you should now climb the steps and find a corpse with an item. Pick it up to receive the Boltdrake Talisman. Once you begin to cross the causeway bridge, you will come up against three golems, however, you do not need to fight them unless you want their weapons too.

For the sake of time let's say you run past them, you will find a teleport as the bridge crumbles away, which will take you to the Divine Tower of Limgrave.

Use the teleport and enter the tower. You will use an elevator, where at the top you find a Grace site. Climb the last set of stairs and you will now be able to reignite the power of Godrick's Great Rune.

Now that you have restored the power of Godrick's Great Rune, head to a Grace site, rest at it, and select Great Runes. Here you can apply the rune which grants you benefits. Godrick's in particular raises all attributes, and you will notice a nice increase to your health, stamina, and magic. 

What To Do After Godrick In Elden Ring: Liurnia Of The Lakes 

After applying Godrick's Great Rune you should head to Liurnia of the Lakes. This is the next explorable area, which features flooded villages and forest areas, but quite noticeably in the horizon you will see two larger castle-like buildings. The building on the left of the horizon is the Raya Lucaria Academy, which is your next intended location.

To get there you will need to descend from the cliff, and progress north-west along the flooded woodland where you will come across some water-based witches, which for the most part, you can avoid by sneaking or bombing it past them on your horse, Torrent. You should come across a series of sites of Grace along the way. 

Once the flooded planes open up, adjust your course more northerly until you come across the Academy Gate Town - which also holds a Grace site. Follow the town to the north-east until you reach a set of stairs with stationed guards. You'll need to fight your way up the stairs until you reach the South Raya Lucaria Gate Grace site. However, you will then notice that the gate to move forward into the Academy is sealed off, and you require a key. 

What To Do After Godrick In Elden Ring: Find The Academy Glintstone Key

So now that you've been blocked off by the Academy Gate, you need to find the Academy Glintstone Key. This is a dangerous process, and included in what to do after Godrick in Elden Ring. You want to head to this spot on the map, to the east of the Academy Gate Town, where you will eventually approach a sleeping dragon.

This is a difficult beast to defeat, but luckily, you won't actually have to kill him to collect the Glintstone Key. Instead what you want to do is approach the dragon, and take a few hits at him. Beware of his fire blast and tail swipe.

While it isn't guaranteed, the dragon should fly away and take up position across the lake, where he will blast fire at you. When he does that head back to his den and you will find a dead wizard back up against the wall. Approach the wizard and you will collect the Academy Glintstone Key. You can also sneak around the back of the dragon. He will always wake up, but there is a chance he wouldn't notice you. 

Now get the hell out of dodge and head back for the South Raya Lucaria Gate, which you can proceed through. If the dragon does manage to get you, don't worry. The Glintstone Key will still be in your possession.
