Alan Wake 2 allows you to switch freely between Saga Anderson and Alan Wake, so having an idea of an order to complete their chapters may help you understand the story a little more.

Can you complete Alan Wake 2's stories in any order?
In essence, yes, you can complete Saga and Alan’s stories in Alan Wake 2 in any order. So, if you wanted to play through the whole of Saga’s chapters first, or all of Alan’s you’re more than able to.
While Saga’s section features a point of no return during the Return 6: Scratch chapter, Alan’s story will stop at the end of Initiation 8: Zane’s Film until you progress through Saga’s story, so you’re never really locked out at any point.
However, you’re going to have a lot more variety if you switch between the two stories throughout.
