Warzone 2 Unhinged Explained

The Warzone 2 Unhinged mode is a playlist that has been added to the game as part of Season 1, giving players a new way of experiencing the classic battle royale mode. Unhinged is the fifth playlist currently in the game, along with Solos, Duos, Quads, and Third Person.

In Unhinged, you start in a trio and have the standard max players of 150, but the max squad size has been raised to six, letting you use the Assimilation feature to actually grow your team rather than refill it like in the standard playlists.

For those who don't know about Assimilation yet, it allows you to join up with enemy Operators to form larger squads, giving you more options other than killing everyone you come across. You can do this by opening up the ping wheel, and choosing the option to either join or invite a player.

There's no news about whether this is a new permanent playlist, or timed for a specific period, but considering it was added as part of the new season, we expect it will be removed once the season is over.

That's all for our explainer of the Warzone 2 Unhinged playlist that has been added as part of Season 1, and now you know how it works.
