Everything you need to know about the 'Assault on Vondel' event in Warzone 2
Here's all of the essentials needed for Warzone 2's Assault on Vondel event, letting you work together with the community to unlock unique features and rewards.
Season 04 of Warzone 2 is starting off hot with the Assault on Vondel event. The brand-new Warzone map, Vondel, is undergoing political turmoil, and it's on us to put the troubles to rest.
Assault on Vondel event start & end dates
The Assault on Vondel event in Warzone 2 begins June 14, 2023, with the launch of Season 04. Players will have until July 7, 2023, to reclaim Vondel from the army of mercenaries that besieged the city.
What is the Assault on Vondel event?
Nikto, the famous Modern Warfare Operator, has overtaken Vondel with a secret army of mercenaries. Your job is to take the city back.
To contribute, you must complete challenges in Warzone 2. Completing the Assault on Vondel event challenges awards medals.
Acquiring medals unlocks personal rewards and adds to the grand community medal count. Once the community at large obtains enough medals, additional rewards will be dished out to all players, and special features will be unlocked on Vondel.
Assault on Vondel event rewards
Ahead of the June 14, 2023, start date, the personal rewards available to unlock during the Assault on Vondel event remain a mystery. However, we do know of many of the community unlock rewards:
- Favourite Supply Box
- Reinforcement Flare
- Taxi Boats and Tramways
- Tonfa Melee Weapon
The Favorite Supply Box first appeared in the original Warzone, and now it's back in Warzone 2.0.
Find a Favorite Supply Box on Vondel to instantly get your Favorite Loadout, plus some ammo and an Armour Plate.
The Reinforcement Flare is a brand-new Field Upgrade that'll redeploy a random squadmate. You can purchase a Reinforcement Flare at a Buy Station or find it while looting Vondel.
After the community progresses far enough in the Assault on Vondel event, taxicabs will begin to appear in the canals on Vondel.
These boats run on autopilot and serve as a new way to get around the city. Also, the tramways will resume operations.
The final Assault on Vondel community unlock is the Lion’s Share Weapon Blueprint for the Tonfa Melee Weapon.
This brand-new melee weapon will be made available to all Operators, but only after the community comes together and maxes out the grand community medal count.
Help get Vondel back from the devious mercenaries that control it in the Assault on Vondel event for Warzone. This limited-time event goes live with Season 04 and will remain active until July 7, 2023.
