How to unlock & use Prescriptions in The Outlast Trials
Prescriptions in The Outlast Trials are abilities you can get to help performance in trials. Learn how to unlock and use them in our guide.
Prescriptions in The Outlast Trials (also known as RX) can give players enhanced abilities in the game. These abilities range from support skills for teammates, to health regeneration, kick attacks, and more.
Although useful, you won't start off with Prescriptions in the game. Instead, you'll have to unlock them, so follow our breakdown below to learn more.
How to unlock Prescriptions
To buy Prescriptions, you must visit Nurse Barlow the receptionist. She is located at the pharmacy counter, which is along the hallway to the left of the main exit.
I was only able to begin interacting with Barlow and buying prescriptions after hitting therapy level three, so you'll need to play for a little bit first.
Therapy level is essentially the way the game monitors XP and levelling up. As you complete more trials you will be rewarded XP which will go towards your therapy level.
To check your therapy level and see how far off you are from unlocking the pharmacy, go to the central terminal at the facility. Interact with the terminal and select 'Records' which will bring up a screen containing your therapy level, the amount of XP you currently have, and statistics from previous trials.
The quickest way to gain XP is by completing trials (doing so with a higher grade will also reward you with additional money).
