How to unlock outfits in The Outlast Trials
Read here to learn how to customize your character and customize your cell in The Outlast Trials. Also included is how to unlock clothing items and legendary skins.
The Outlast Trials takes a step away from the original franchise by offering players a cell to customize with unique decorations and a full-character customization menu. If you're looking to set up a home in the Murkoff Facility in the game and wish to look the part, stick around.
How do you unlock outfits?
You may unlock different clothing items by attempting trials at the main terminal and by advancing your therapy level.
You can purchase unlocked trial rewards via the cell room mirror.
This menu contains rarer legendary clothing sets, as such you'll find these more expensive to buy and will require you to complete several trials before you can unlock and save up enough money to buy them.
As of writing, the exclusive skins available are:
- Good Doctor
- Redemption
- Rusted Llizarov
- Maverick
How to customize your cell
Once you complete the initial game tutorial and wake up in your cell, you can begin customising it by interacting with the bed.
Customisation lets you use different bedspreads, wallpaper, carpets, and decoration items to help keep you sane during your stay at the nefarious corporation.
Your cell will be marked on the screen with a white door symbol. Here, you can spend money in return for items. To earn money, participate in trials and level up your therapy XP bar. The better your grade, the more money you will earn during your stay.
How to customize your character
From your cell, interact with the mirror above the basin to access the character customization menu.
From this menu, you can adjust facial features, hairstyle, colour, and equip new clothing for your character. You can also change the appearance of your night-vision goggles and ESOP.
