If you pick the Starfield Raised Enlightened trait at the start of the game, you will need to know where to find the House of Enlightened so you access the chest and earn some useful goodies from the get-go.

Where to find House of the Enlightened chest in Starfield

To find the House of the Enlightened chest in Starfield, you will need to make your way to their main building which is located in The Well on New Atlantis. This location can be accessed a couple of hours into the game, so check exactly where you need to go below.

Travel to New Atlantis and fast travel to the MAST District or take the train from where you land your ship
When you are in the MAST District, when facing away from the train head right, toward the elevator on side wall

Take the elevator down into The Well
In The Well, head directly forward, past the med clinic and through the narrow corridor
Take a right once you come out and see shops on the other side, and the House of the Enlightened can be found on the right, directly in the middle of the area

Head into the building, and down the stairs behind the desk to find the chest

It's worth noting if you don't have the Raised Enlightened trait in Starfield then you won't be able to find the chest or access the items inside.

What's inside the House of the Enlightened chest?

You can find a small number of items inside the Starfield House of the Enlightened chest. These are:

Charity in a Godless Universe Part I
Charity in a Godless Universe Part II
Charity in a Godless Universe Part II
Charity in a Godless Universe Part IV
Drink Pack: Water
Heart+ x2
Inclement Weather Outfit (+10 Health)
Med Pack x4

None of these are particularly stand-out items, but they are useful when you are only a few hours into the game.

The books just provide some lore, but can also be sold for a decent amount of credits; the aid items are super useful and will give you a little extra help during combat, and finally, the outfit has a strong health boost that makes it fairly powerful during the early hours of the game.
