What is the Starfield download size?
The exact Starfield download size has been revealed for both Xbox Series X|S and PC as the following:
- Xbox Series X|S - 126.1 GB
- PC - 139.84 GB
According to the game's Steam system requirements and the official Xbox game page, Starfield will have a large download size of 125 GB, but the exact figures have managed to eclipse this, with the PC version in particular needing an extra 15 GB.
For reference, Starfield is roughly ten times bigger than the ever-popular Skyrim, and about four times bigger than their previous single-player outing, Fallout 4.
This is also about a fifth of the storage space available on the Xbox Series S, making it a tight squeeze if you have it filled with other titles.
Many players will only make the game bigger after launch too, as Starfield is confirmed to have an expansion, and PC players will inevitably load it with an assortment of mods.
Despite how large this install size is, it's still notably less than some other modern games, and a sign of how massive AAA games have become.
