Stardew Valley Sebastian: How To Foster A Relationship

An easy gift to obtain for Sebastian is the Sashimi dish. Since the only ingredient of the dish is fish, (any fish at all) it can be made all year round with plenty of available ingredients. The only drawback of this is that to unlock the recipe the player must first acquire 3+ hearts with Linus.  Linus likes most Forage items and loves Coconut and Cactus Fruit from the desert.

Frozen Tears can be hoarded after a few trips the mines. They drop on floors 40-79 and have a slim chance to fall from slain Dust Sprites.

The Pumpkin Soup recipe is acquired from 7+ hearts with Robin, so is slightly harder to achieve. It can be purchased along with other cooked dishes, at the Stardrop Saloon from Gus’s rotary stock.

Obsidian is possible loot from breaking open Magma Geodes, found in the mines.

Lastly, Void Eggs can spawn randomly in a Big or Deluxe Coop with an extra space available in them. You’ll receive a cutscene once in bed, of the witch flying over and dropping a Void Egg in your coop. If the sewers are unlocked, they can also be purchased from Krobus.

It can be tricky to gift items to Sebastian at first. He spends a lot of time in his room which you can only gain access to after having 2+ hearts with him. Due to this, his schedule can be an important thing to consider.

Stardew Valley Sebastian Schedule

All Seasons– If raining he will either spend the day at the beach before heading home for the evening or spend his evening at the Stardrop Saloon until it closes.

(After unlocking the railroad) on Thursdays he smokes by the train station from 3-9pm until he returns home.

Fridays he spends the morning in his room, then goes to the Saloon from 3-9pm.

Saturdays he spends the morning with Sam, stood outside Hayley and Emily’s house.  Enters Sam’s house from 12:30-6pm. Then returns home after standing outside Sam’s house for an hour.

Other days he spends all day in his bedroom (briefly visiting his kitchen for food at 3pm), then goes to the lake next to his house at 6:30-7:30pm, before returning home.

On Summer 4 he has his annual check-up at Harvey’s Clinic.

Stardew Valley Sebastian Heart Events

Two Hearts

The Player enters Sebastian’s room whilst he’s on his computer. He tells the player that he is a freelance programmer. He gets a text from Sam asking him to hang out, but he expresses that he doesn’t feel like having company. Robin enters the room and tells him Abigail is looking for him. Sebastian gets frustrated that people don’t take his work seriously. He says that he needs personal space and alone time sometimes.

Four Hearts

The player sees Sebastian working on a motorcycle in the garage next to Robin’s house. Sebastian shares his dream with the player, of driving out of Stardew Valley and living out on the road, just him and his bike.

Six Hearts

The player enters Sebastian’s bedroom and sits next to him and Sam. They are playing a tabletop game and invite the player to join. The next few cutscenes involve the player being part of a choose your own adventure style game where they get scored at the end based on the decisions they picked.

Eight Hearts

The player finds Sebastian by the docks during a rainy day. Sebastian confesses that he prefers the bad weather because people stay indoors and being around people make him anxious. He says he doesn’t feel like that around the player though and produces an umbrella for them to share in the rain.

Ten Hearts (After gifting the Bouquet)

Sebastian invites the player for a bike ride. He takes them to his favourite spot overlooking Zuzu City. He says that he once wanted to leave the valley but finds himself happier living there now. He confesses his feelings for the player and kisses them.

Now you have the knowledge to unlock Sebastian's heart events, why not take a glimpse of Haley's? Here's our Stardew Valley Haley guide with everything you need to know.
