Stardew Valley Elliott: How To Foster A Relationship
Of all the gifts Elliott loves, Pomegranate may be the easiest to acquire. You’ll need 6,000g first to buy the Pomegranate Sapling, which will take 28 days to mature and start bearing fruit. The tree will only produce in Fall, so it’s best to plant the sampling by the first day of Summer.
This means by Fall you should have a fully grown pomegranate tree ready to harvest. Elliott’s birthday happens to be Fall 5 so if you grow a Pomegranate in time for this and gift him one, you can receive a x8 bonus to friendship.
If the player chose to have a fruit bat cave instead of a mushroom cave on the farm, it may also spawn Pomegranates.
Lobster is another relatively easy option. To catch Lobster, you’ll need a Crab Pot placed in the sea with Bait inside. Just wait for a night to pass and check your pots (making sure to keep adding Bait in each day). There is a chance for Lobster to spawn in the Crab Pots in any season. Crab Pots can be bought individually from Willy’s shop or crafted after achieving fishing level 3.
Duck Feathers can be dropped from a Duck that has a high relationship with the player. These aren’t too difficult to acquire but will require the player to have a Big Coop first which will cost 10,000g, 400 wood and 150 Stone.

Stardew Valley Elliott Heart Events
Two Hearts
The player walks into Elliott’s cabin where he shows them his writing desk. He says he chose to live isolated on the beach to help him focus and gain inspiration for his writing. He asks the player what their favourite genre is, the options being between Mystery, Romance and Sci-Fi. Whichever option is chosen, Elliott will base his book on that.
Four Hearts
The player enters the Stardrop Saloon and is joined by Elliott who is celebrating that he has had a productive day of writing. Elliott buys them a drink and they toast. Elliott proceeds to dance and the player laughs.
Six Hearts
The player enters Elliott’s cabin whilst he is practising on the piano. Afterwards, Elliott confesses that he is struggling to finish his book and the piano is his only hobby.
Eight Hearts
The player receives an invitation in the mail to attend Elliott’s book reading at the library. Upon arriving Elliott greets the player and expresses relief at finishing his book. Almost the entire town is present as Elliott commences the book reading (which will be whichever genre the player chose in the second heart event). Elliott finishes the reading and dedicates the book to the player.
Ten Hearts (After gifting the Bouquet)
The player meets Elliott on the docks. Elliott reveals that he has fixed up an old rowboat and asks the player to join him on it. They go for a boat ride together where Elliott thanks the player for their support whilst he was writing his book. He tries to confess his feelings for the player but struggles to do so, so kisses them instead. The player has the choice to respond or reject him.
