It’s no secret that Star Wars Outlaws is an open-world game, but with a galaxy of potential planets to explore, this begs the question of just how big it is.

From the far reaches of the Outer Rim to the local watering holes filled with scum and villainy, the game is going to have a vast amount to explore, as well as plenty of space to fly around in.

How big is the Star Wars Outlaws open-world?

Given that the game is set in space and has Kay, Nix and ND-5 visiting an assortment of planets under the control of various crime syndicates, it’s safe to assume that Star Wars Outlaws’ open world is going to be pretty big.

In addition to planetary exploration, you’ll be engaging in dogfights in space and, judging from the early trailers, we may even be able to hop straight from ground to space in no time at all.

Which planets are confirmed so far in Star Wars Outlaws?

So far, there have been several recognisable Star Wars planets revealed for Outlaws, in addition to some new ones. The planets confirmed in Star Wars Outlaws so far are:

  • Akiva
  • Canto Bight
  • Kijimi
  • Tatooine
  • Toshara

Each of these planets will have a wide space to explore, from sprawling landscapes in the great outdoors to the confines of claustrophobic city limits, cantinas and spaceports.

Each planet looks set to have its own unique environs, from the murky inner-cities of Toshara to the snow-covered villages on Kijimi and the windy brushes of Akiva.

Tatooine is, of course, one of the most famous planets in the Star Wars universe and is a no-brainer to visit. With Outlaws set between Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi, I for one am looking forward to visiting Jabba the Hutt and catching a glimpse of Han Solo frozen in Carbonite.

That’s everything you need to know so far about the open-worlds on offer in Star Wars Outlaws.
