Locating the Spider-Bots hidden across the map of Marvel's Spider-Man 2 is essential if you want to earn the "Funky Wireless Protocols" trophy and Platinum the game, but the task of honing in on the last few for your collection can be quite tedious if you don't know where to look.

So, let's dive right into all 42 Spider-Bot locations across every district map in Spider-Man 2, along with every reward you get for completing the collect-a-thon.

SPOILER WARNING: This guide contains story spoilers for the events of Marvel's Spider-Man 2, so be sure to proceed at your own caution.

Where are all the Spider-Bots in Spider-Man 2

Using the list of districts below, you'll be able to find all of the Spider-Bots tucked away on the map alongside which spot is home to what model - meaning you can run each one's name against those in your collection so you know where you need to go to get that trophy as quickly as possible.

Astoria locations

In the Astoria district of Spider-Man 2, you'll be able to find the Classic, Blood-Spider, Shocker, and Mangaverse Spider-Bot variants.

The latter is a definite highlight with its "cute backpack".

Central Park locations

Players swinging through Central Park will be able to find two Spider-Bots to help complete their collection: the Iron Spider Spider-Bot and the Spider-Man 1602 Spider-Bot.

Chinatown locations

For Chinatown, as shown above, you'll be able to find three variants of the little robots: Spider-Armor Mk II, Spider-Woman, and Mister Negative

The Mister Negative Bot will be high up in the air, making it a bit more difficult to grab, but this can simply be done with some simple manoeuvring by using your Charged Jump and Web Wing abilities.

Downtown Brooklyn locations

One of the larger hubs of Spider-Bots for four locations in Spider-Man 2, Downtown Brooklyn will have you searching for the following models: Sensational Spider-Man, Peni Parker, Superior, and Mysterio

Downtown locations

As shown above, Downtown Queens will take you to the Into the Spider-Verse, Stealth, and Gwen Stacy versions of the eight-legged robots.

The Into the Spider-Verse variant, similar to the way Miles mentions as he collects it, is definitely my favourite Spider-bot.

Financial District locations

The Financial District is quite a large part of New York to house just two Spider-Bots, and they're not that far away from each other, either.

Heading to the marked locations above will net you both the Classic Mysterio and Spider-Ham models.

Greenwich locations

In Greenwich, the Spider-Man 2099 version is the first Spider-Bot you'll find automatically in the "Spider-Spy?" mission of the campaign.

With that, it's only the Flipside and JJJ Spider-Bots you need to worry about finding in this particular district.

Harlem locations

By using this map as you zip through Harlem, you'll be able to find the Anya Corazon, Ultimate, and Across the Spider-Verse Spider-Bots

Hell’s Kitchen locations

With four spidery bots packed into Hell's Kitchen, using the above map in Spider-Man 2 will help you find the Future Future Foundation, Vulture, Rhino, and Spirit-Spider Spider-Bots

Found crawling across a wall outside of the Hell's Kitchen church, the Spirit-Spider variant is very appropriately placed.

Little Odessa locations

Hunting for the collectibles in Little Odessa will have you adding the Black Cat Noir, Scarlet Spider, and Electro-Proof Spider-Bots to your collection - and Ben Reilly fans will absolutely want to check out the Scarlet Spider 'Bot when it's added to their collections.

Midtown locations

With two of them pretty close together, the Spider-Bots in Midtown can be found using the marked map above, earning you the variants for Spider-UK, Spider-Punk, and Spider-Monkey

To make the most out of collecting the Spider-Punk 'Bot, this should definitely be a job for Peter, as his response to it is particularly funny.

Upper East locations

The Upper East Side map of Spider-Bot locations in Spider-Man 2

The Upper East Side district of Spider-Man 2 houses the Spider-Armour MK III, Aracnido Jr, and Spider-Man Noir Spider-Bots, and Spider-Verse fans likely won't be surprised at how cool the Spider-Man Noir collectible looks after they grab it.

Upper West locations

Facing the other side of Central Park, swinging through the Upper West side using the above map will see you through to the locations of the Secret Wars, Dusk, and Spider-Girl versions of the Spider-Bot.

Williamsburg locations

If you've gotten this far, well done - we're at the last district! For Williamsburg, you'll be looking for two Spider-Bots placed on opposite sides of the district: The Prowler and Scorpion variants.

Paired with a namesake stinger combined with the traditional eight legs, the latter definitely looks striking in living up to its name.

And with that, you'll have collected all 42 of the eight-legged bots!

How to find Spider-Bots

After first starting in the "Spider-Spy?" story mission, whilst you're swinging through New York's districts completing other missions in the game, you just need to look out for large neon spheres across the city as shown in the below image - as each has a Spider-Bot at the epicenter.

As your collection grows, if you aren't sure which of the 42 bots you're missing, you can hover over a district and see in its progress checklist to see how many you've found so far - as shown circled in the image above.

Depending on their location, honing in on some robo-arachnids can be tricky, but by obtaining the "All Seeing" Traversal Suit Tech upgrade, you'll have nearby Spider-Bots appear on the mini-map to make the hunts easier.

However, the All-Seeing upgrade doesn't apply to the main map; this means that if all you're missing is one Spider-Bot each in a few districts, you'll likely need to spend a bit of time web-swinging across each district until a neon sphere pops up on your screen.

Spider-Bot mission ending & rewards in Spider-Man 2

Recieving the mission "The Message" as a reward for finding all Spider-Man 2 Spider-Bot locations

Having found all of these collectibles, you'll be granted an extra reward of 150 XP and 100 Tech Parts you earn per 'Bot. Next, Ganke will call you saying he's performed some techno-wizardry and found the supposed location of the individual behind their appearance - unlocking the final Spider-Bot mission called "The Message".

Once reaching the mission waypoint, a portal that's easily recognizable by fans of the Spider-Verse films will open - revealing Delilah, the owner of The Bar With No Name, before she collects all of your Spider-Bots for herself.

Originally part of the recent Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse in a deleted scene, Delilah's appearance and the mentioning of Miguel - Spider-Man 2099 himself - hints towards a possible connection with the Spider-Verse's Multiverse continuity. Whilst Insomniac's Peter Parker did have a cameo in Across the Spider-Verse, Marvel's Spider-Man 2 could take place before the film or in a different universe.

Although the cutscene is fairly quick and doesn't actually explain why the Spider-Bots appeared, "The Message" definitely sets the stage for more Spider-Verse antics.

As the portal closes and the mission ends, you'll get 400 Tech Parts1000 XP, and the well-earned "Funky Wireless Protocols" bronze trophy as your final set of rewards.
