Roblox's Classic event start date & what to expect
If you're a fan of old-school Roblox games and gear like the Rubber Duckie, you're going to want to check out the Classic event which takes place in May 2024.
Roblox is paying homage to its early days with a Classic event, so here's everything you need to know including the start date and what experiences will be included.
It's hard to believe that Roblox has been around for almost two decades. While it now features endless experiences to enjoy, some longtime fans still look back fondly on those blocky 2006 visuals and early game modes. If you're one of them, it looks like you're in for a treat.
When does the Classic event start?
The Classic event will kick off in Roblox on May 23, 2024. This was confirmed in a post shared on the game's official X (formerly Twitter) account.
There's no confirmed start time for the upcoming event yet, but Roblox's recent The Hunt event launched at 10AM PT / 1PM ET / 6PM BST, so it's likely the Classic event will begin around the same time of day.
The event is scheduled to end on May 28, so you have just under a week to complete all of the quests and earn every single reward.
What is Roblox's Classic event?
Roblox's 'The Classic' is a celebration of the game's history, where you'll be able to complete quests to earn tokens or find hidden Tix in order to redeem exclusive rewards.
It isn't clear what rewards will be available at this point in time, but you'll be able to redeem them in the new (or 'old', I guess!) Hub area. There will also be exclusive bundles that you can only purchase with Robux, alongside the exciting free rewards.
The Classic event was announced alongside a teaser video featuring iconic Roblox items like the Cheezburger, the Rubber Duckie, the Domino Crown, and the old-fashioned Roblox logo.
According to X account @RBXEventHunters, which has been tracking changes to badges and assets across Roblox experiences, the Classic event could include the following games:
- Adopt Me
- Arsenal
- Bedwars
- Blade Ball
- Dragon Adventures
- Gunfight Arena
- Livetopia
- Restaurant Tycoon 2
- Toilet Tower Defense
- Tower Defense Simulator
Many fans have expressed their hope that the event will put a focus on old game modes, too. Of course, this is all speculation for now, but I'll keep this page updated once more official information is revealed!
