Where to find Turtwig in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet’s Indigo Disk DLC
Scarlet & Violet players unsure where to find Turtwig can get its location in the Indigo Disk DLC here so you can add the Twin Leaf 'mon to your Pokedex.
Being able to catch your own Turtwig and evolve it into Grotle and Torterra is among the most exciting parts of the Indigo Disk DLC in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet - if you know where to locate it that is.
Whether you're a veteran who used the Tiny Leaf Pokemon in the Diamond & Pearl games and their remakes or simply want to complete your Pokedex, getting this adorable Gen 3 Grass-type starter in the game is a must.
How to get Turtwig in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet
You'll be able to find a Turtwig in the Canyon Biome within Scarlet & Violet's Indigo Disk DLC, but you'll first need to donate 3000 BP to the Terarium Club to "boost biodiversity" in the biome.
Completing Terarium Club quests on the Support Board via the computer in the League Club Room, is required to add other starters to the DLC's various biomes like Chimchar or Mudkip.
How to get more BP
If you're short on BP, you can get more by completing Battle Quests - which you can access by pressing right on the D-pad. Keep in mind though that gathering 3000 BP will still take quite a while, so get ready to invest a bit of time grinding.
After the BP has been donated, Turtwig can be found in the grassy areas in the top-left of the Canyon Biome's map section as shown above. Like with other starters, I found this to be quite a common spawn, so it shouldn't take you too long to find one for yourself.
How to evolve Turtwig into Grotle
After catching your Turtwig, you'll be able to evolve it into Grotle once it reaches Level 18. If your Turtwig is already at Level 18 and above, however, the evolution will still trigger when it next levels up.
If you wish to avoid grinding for experience points, you can make the process a bit quicker by using either a Rare Candy or Exp. Candies.
How to evolve Grotle in Torterra
Once you have your Grotle, it will evolve into Torterra after you get it to Level 32. Just like with the first stage, you don't need to worry if your Grotle is already Level 32 and above, as the evolution will still trigger when it next levels up.
