Pokemon Scarlet And Violet Tera Raid Battles: How To Find
There are a number of ways to locate and engage in Tera Raid Battles. First and foremost, you can find them out in the world. They appear as large clusters of crystals around the map, with a colour representing the type of Pokemon within. These crystals cast a huge beam of light straight up in the air, making them very easy to locate. You can also find them on the map, marked with icons showing the type of the Pokemon.
That is how you find Tera Raid Battles in your own game, but you can also join battles in other people's games. To do so, go to the Pokemon Scarlet and Violet Poke Portal and select Tera Raid Battle. This will allow you to join nearby friends in raids, or go online to join other players. You can hit the Random button to join a Tera Raid Battle at random.

Pokemon Scarlet And Violet Tera Raid Battles: How To Beat
There are a couple of things to consider when engaging in a Tera Raid Battle. The information you get before starting the battle is the Tera type of the Pokemon, and a star rating from one to six. The higher the star rating, the more difficult the battle will be. Also, the higher the star rating, the more powerful the Pokemon you will catch, and also the more items you receive for winning.
You can only bring one Pokemon into a Tera Raid Battle, so your first task is to bring a relevant Pokemon. Having the type advantage is critical to success, especially in the more difficult raids. Unfortunately, you only see the silhouette of the Pokemon, so working out the exact Pokemon and its type can be tricky. It is a test of your knowledge of Pokemon, learning to recognise the Pokemon is part of the challenge.
Once you are in the battle, you and your teammates will take turns attacking the Terastalised Pokemon, and it will also attack you. You can use any of your normal attacks on it, you can also use support moves to help your teammates. To help them even more, there are cheers you can instead of attacks that buff your friends' Pokemon. The Terastalised Pokemon's health bar will be across the top, you simply need to drain it to win. Once the health bar is empty, the Pokemon is defeated and you can catch it.
