The second part of Pokemon Scarlet & Violet's Hidden Treasure of Area Zero DLC, The Indigo Disk, has finally arrived, but there are some prerequisites before you can start playing.

Following on from the festival-themed Teal Mask DLC, it's time for Trainers to head to the Blueberry Academy and explore the Terrarium in The Indigo Disk DLC. Here's everything you need to know to access it.

How to start The Indigo Disk DLC

Before you can start The Indigo Disk story, you’ll need to completely finish the main Scarlet & Violet campaign as well as The Teal Mask’s main story. This might take you a while depending on where you are in the game.

You’ll also need to update your version of Scarlet or Violet by connecting to the internet. When you try to launch the game, it should tell you that there’s an update to install. Alternatively, you can press the + button and choose 'Software Update'.

Once you’ve done all of this, when you next open the game you’ll immediately get a call from Director Clavell on your Rotom Phone. He’ll tell you that he’s got an “exceptional opportunity” for you - a trip to the famous Blueberry Academy!

After hanging up the phone, visit the Academy (remember that you’ll need to be on the Paldea map to get here) and the Blueberry Academy’s Director Cyrano will greet you. After a short conversation, your Indigo Disk adventure will begin!

You can fast travel back to Paldea or Kitakami once you've started The Indigo Disk DLC, so don't worry if you realise there's something you need to do in those regions.

Now that you know how to access The Indigo Disk, visit our Pokemon Scarlet & Violet homepage for the latest guides including the Tera Raid events schedule and all of the Mystery Gift freebies you can claim right now.
