How to get Chespin in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet's Indigo Disk
Chespin, Quilladin, and Chesnaught are now available to add to your Pokedex in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet's Indigo Disk DLC, so here's how to get them all.
The Spiny Nut Pokemon, Chespin, has returned in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet's Indigo Disk DLC, which means you can also get its evolutions Quilladin and Chesnaught!
If you're a fan of the Kalos region starters from Pokemon X & Y, then you'll be glad to know they've all returned in The Indigo Disk expansion! We've got a location guide for Froakie here, but right now we're going to tell you how to get the Grass-type starter Chespin.
Where to find Chespin in The Indigo Disk
Chespin is an unusual starter because it can actually be found in two different Biomes. It's located inside the electric-themed cave that links the Canyon Biome and the Polar Biome.
Before you can encounter Chespin, though, you'll need to donate 3,000 BP to the Terarium Club to help them increase the kinds of Pokemon that spawn in the Canyon Biome. You can do this by interacting with the PC in the League Club Room.
As mentioned before, Chespin can be found across two separate Biomes, but I was able to encounter it in both of them after upgrading just the Canyon Biome - so that's the one you need to upgrade if you want to add a Chespin to your collection.
There's a fast-travel location right by the Canyon Biome entrance to the cave (Canyon Rest Area) that you can use for easy access to Chespin's habitat. Once inside, go deeper into the cave and search until you find Chespin. They often spawn in packs!
How to evolve Chespin into Quilladin
Chespin will evolve into Quilladin as soon as it reaches Level 16.
If you've caught a Chespin in The Indigo Disk, it will definitely be above this level already. In that case, simply raise it by one more level and it will evolve straight away.
How to evolve Quilladin into Chesnaught
Quilladin will evolve into Chesnaught once it reaches Level 36.
As with the previous evolution, if your Quilladin is already above this level, you'll just need to raise it one extra level and it will start the evolution process.
That's everything you need to know about Chespin! Visit our Pokemon Scarlet & Violet homepage for more guides like the latest Mystery Gift codes or how to get all the other starters in The Indigo Disk.
