Mega Latias and Mega Latios first appeared in Pokemon GO in May 2022 and it's been a while since they've flown over.

Now, the legendary duo are back in the game. Here is how you can catch them both in this Mega Latias and Mega Latios Pokemon GO guide.

How do you get Mega Latias and Mega Latios?

To get Mega Latias and Mega Latios, you'll need to beat each of their respective Mega Raids available during the Primal Rumblings event. From Wednesday, 22 February at 10AM to Friday, 24 February at 10PM local time, Mega Latias and Mega Latios will be available to encounter, defeat, and catch in Mega Raids.

You just need to look out for the Mega Raid symbol above various gyms on your map.

Previously debuted in Mega Raids as part of the May 2022 Air Adventures event, Mega Latias and Mega Latios had a max raid boss CP of 80545 and 84000 respectively. So, be sure to have at least six other trainers to take on the raid with you.

In terms of counters, the weaknesses of Mega Latias and Mega Latios are Bug, Dark, Dragon, Fairy, Ghost, and Ice types - as they are Dragon and Psychic dual types. That's quite a large range of Mega Latias and Mega Latios counters available compared to other legendaries.
