The Halloween Cup has returned to the Pokemon GO Battle League for more ghostly fun, but you'll need to know the best teams and Pokemon to use if you want to become a champion.
To celebrate the arrival of the spookiest season, Pokemon GO fans can now test their mettle in the GO Battle League's limited-time Halloween Cup. This cup only allows Bug, Dark, Fairy, Ghost, and Poison-type Pokemon under 1500 CP to enter its hallowed battleground.

Best team for the Halloween Cup in Pokemon GO
One of the best teams you can use for the Halloween Cup is Carbink, Greninja, and Golbat.
It's not a surprise to see Carbink rise to the top of the rankings here, as it's become one of the must-have Pokemon in the GO Battle League. It's a costly creature to power up, but it's worth the resources as it's also a standout in the Great League so you'll get plenty of use from it.
With Carbink being the one to watch out for in this meta, you'll also need to make sure you have a counter for it on your team - and that's where Greninja comes in handy. Finally, having a Golbat on your team will cover you against most other opponents you'll come across.
Another great team for the Halloween Cup would be Mandibuzz, Jellicent, and Toxapex.
Similar to the previous team we recommended, this trio of powerful Pokemon places very highly on PvPoke's rankings and will provide good coverage against most eligible Pokemon in this cup.
Whatever team you end up using for the Halloween Cup, the same basic recommendations apply: Power them up as close to the 1500 CP limit as possible, teach them their optimal movesets, and make sure you're covering a range of types between the three of them.

When does the Halloween Cup start & end?
If you're looking to take part in the Halloween Cup, you'll have just two weeks to rise to the top of the ranks as it begins on Friday, October 20, 2023, and ends on Friday, November 3, 2023.
It will appear alongside the Ultra League in the first week of its run, and the Master League in the second week of its run.
