Everything you need to know about Pokemon GO Fest 2024 in Madrid

Pokemon GO Fest 2024 will take over Madrid from June 14 to 16, with exclusive gameplay including the debut of Necrozma and Marshadow.

Pokemon GO Fest 2024 is heading to Madrid, with thousands of fans from around the world expected to attend the in-person celebrations.

Ticketholders will spend one-half of the day in Parque Juan Carlos I, and the other half exploring the wider city of Madrid. There will be loads of gameplay features to enjoy including the Pokemon GO debut of the Legendary Necrozma and the Mythical Marshadow!

When does Pokemon GO Fest 2024 take place?

Pokemon GO Fest 2024: Madrid takes place from Friday, June 14 to Sunday, June 16, 2024.

Trainers can purchase a ticket for one of these days, with morning and afternoon slots available for the Parque Juan Carlos I experience. The other half of the day can be spent enjoying gameplay across the city of Madrid.

Tickets are available to purchase now from the official Pokemon GO Fest 2024: Madrid event page. There are also a few optional bolt-ons like Raid Lover and Egg-thusiast that focus on specific types of gameplay.

Necrozma and Ultra Beasts in Raids

One of the most exciting features of Pokemon GO Fest 2024: Madrid is the debut of the Legendary Necrozma!

This fearsome Psychic-type creature from the sunny Alola region will be available to battle in Raids. If you manage to defeat it, you'll get a chance to catch it. Ticketholders might even encounter a Shiny Necrozma.

That's not all, as Ultra Beasts including Guzzlord, Nihilego, Xurkitree, and Kartana will also appear in Raids. And, for the first time in Pokemon GO, ticketholders will have a chance to encounter Shiny Pheromosa!

Marshadow makes its GO debut

The Mythical Marshadow will make its long-awaited debut during Pokemon GO Fest 2024, with Trainers in Madrid able to catch it ahead of the global GO Fest event by completing an exclusive Special Research story.

Trainers will also be able to encounter Klefki, a regional-exclusive Pokemon that's usually only available to catch in France, as well as new costumed Eevee. Shiny Crabrawler will also be available for the first time.

New costumed Pokemon to catch

Trainers who attend in-person GO Fest 2024 events - including Madrid - will be able to catch Eevee wearing a Sun Crown and Eevee wearing a Moon Crown. These will not be available in the global GO Fest 2024 event.

You'll also be able to catch Pikachu wearing a Sun Crown and Pikachu wearing a Moon Crown ahead of their worldwide debut in July's global Go Fest 2024 event.

Habitats with unique wild spawns

Four unique Habitats will appear around Parque Juan Carlos I: Mysterious Labyrinth, Rocky Shore, Cursed Forest, and Sunrise Gateway. Each of these Habitats will feature wild spawns based on their theme.

You'll also be able to encounter Unown A, Unown D, Unown G, Unown H, Unown I, Unown N, Unown T, Unown Y, and Unown ? - all of which can be Shiny!

Exclusive bonuses for ticketholders

Between the hours of 7AM and 9PM, ticketholders can enjoy the following events no matter where they are in Madrid:

  • 1/2 Hatch Distance for Eggs placed in Incubators during the event
  • Special hatches from 7 km Eggs
  • 1.5× Hatch Candy and 1.5 Hatch Stardust
  • 2× Catch Candy
  • Lure Modules will last for two hours
  • Make up to six Special Trades
  • Trades will cost less Stardust
  • Up to 9 additional free Raid Passes from spinning Gyms

You might also get a special surprise appearance from Heat Rotom when taking Snapshots during the event!

Event features including photo opportunities

As well as the in-game features, Trainers will also be able to enjoy real-life fun including photo opportunities with Pikachu and Eevee, real-world habitats, exclusive GO Fest 2024 merch, and team lounges to relax in.

There will also be a Battle Ground where you can compete against other Trainers to win prizes, or simply learn how to play the GO Battle League.
