What is leather used for?
Leather is required for making Harnesses and Necklaces for your Pals. The first one is used for enabling the Partner Skill, and the latter one allows you to always keep your Pal by your side when you're out exploring.
To craft Pal Gear, you must first unlock the Pal Gear Workbench and place it on the ground. After the construction process is complete, you'll be able to use the workbench to craft any Harness, Necklace, or Pal-related thing you unlock.
Where to farm leather in Palworld
The best way to farm leather in Palworld is on the open grounds of every island, where you will always come across a ton of pals that drop leather. In the starting area, the best location to farm leather is Grassy Bohemoth Hills, which you can find in the Plateau of Beginnings.
Depending on the time of the day, the Grassy Bohemoth Hills spawns Pals like Eikthyrdeer, Foxparks, Nitewing, Tombat, Melpaca and others, who all drop leather when captured or defeated.
Another great location to farm leather is the area north and south of the Rayne Syndicate Tower Entrance waypoint.
Apart from these two locations, we also have Lake Center, the Bamboo Forest, Hypocrite Hill and many others that are rich in Pals that drop leather.
