While he started as a damage character, in Overwatch 2 Doomfist is a tank hero with lots of mobility. If you need a rundown of how to use him, such as what his abilities are and what to keep in mind when playing, we've got you covered.

| Meteor Strike | Ultimate | Leap in the air, move the targeting circle, and strike down in the target area |
| Role: Tank | Role Passive | Reduces knockbacks and critical damage received. Less ultimate generated by healing and damage received |
Tips for playing Doomfist
Doomfisti s one of the squishier tanks in the game, but he makes up for it with lots of mobility. The combination of Seismic Slam and Rocket Punch means Doomfist can cover a lot of ground very quickly.
Now that he is a tank, he can use these abilities to dive deep into enemy territory, disrupt the opposing team, and try to force some of the weaker enemies out into the fight.
His extra health makes this tactic even more effective than it used to be, if you are quick you can pull this off and get back out of danger.
Regardless of your tactics, your best bet with Doomfist is to move around a lot, use your abilities consistently to gain extra health and cause some chaos.
With his ultimate, you need to surprise enemies due to the long wind-up time that makes it easy to spot coming. Stick around the edges and lurk to find the right time and you can fall down on an unsuspecting enemy team, giving your team cover to move in and finish them off.
How to unlock Doomfist in Overwatch 2
You'll need to play 85 unranked matches to unlock Doomfist. Alternatively, if you have the original game on the same account you play OW2 with, you'll get him for free.
