Are you looking forward to the Overwatch 2 Battle For Olympus event? Overwatch 2 is currently wrapping up its Christmas event, but that doesn’t mean the party’s over. As with many other live service games, the end of one event just signals the beginning of another, and Overwatch 2 is no different.

What Is The Battle For Olympus Event In Overwatch 2?
Battle for Olympus is set to take place in the realm of Greek mythology, revolving around the gods and monsters that are well-known for that era. Overwatch 2 players can expect a set of new skins and many other goodies in Season 2, but the main event is a limited-time mode known as Battle for Olympus arriving very soon.
There is very little information surrounding Battle for Olympus and what exactly it will have players engaging in. However, a few teases were dropped on the Season 2 announcement post, which claimed Battle for Olympus will see “heroes and several others imbued with awesome god-like powers” in the new mode.
A further tweet from the official Overwatch 2 account has confirmed some of the various abilities heroes will be embedded with. Roadhog will be able to shoot boulders, whilst others such as Reinhardt will gain the ability to charge in quick succession.
When Is Battle For Olympus Starting In Overwatch 2?
You won’t have to wait long, as developer Blizzard has confirmed Battle for Olympus will start on January 5 for a limited time. Players will have to make the most of its arrival, as it has also been revealed it will be leaving on January 19.
What Battle For Olympus Rewards Will Be Available?
While it’s unclear whether Overwatch 2 players will be able to gain anything unique from the Battle for Olympus game mode, those who own the Season 2 Battle Pass can expect some unique cosmetics to tie into the theme.
You can currently unlock skins such as Zeus for Junker Queen and Hades for Pharah. If you want to go into Battle for Olympus with the right look, be sure to progress through the Battle Pass and kit out your favourite heroes with these unique cosmetic items.
