Where to find & how to use the V-R11 Wonder Weapon in MW3 Zombies
Season 1 introduces a brand-new Wonder Weapon with an interesting twist! Learn where to find and how to use the V-R11 in Modern Warfare 3's Zombies Mode.
Season 1 of MW3 introduces the V-R11, a brand-new Wonder Weapon, to Zombies. This unique Call of Duty energy blaster can transform its targets, turning zombies into humans and humans into the living dead. This primer details how to get your hands on the game's new Wonder Weapon and how to use the V-R11 in Modern Warfare 3 Zombies.
Where to find the V-R11 Wonder Weapon
You can find the V-R11 Wonder Weapon in Mystery Boxes and Weapon Cases.
Obviously, what you get from a Mystery Box is entirely random, so you may have to pay the 950 Essence fee quite a few times before you receive the V-R11. Mystery Boxes exist across all of Urzikstan.
Alternatively, you can get the new Season 1 Wonder Weapon out of a Weapon Case. The best way to get Weapon Cases is to complete Contracts in the Medium and High-Threat Zones or to clear challenging activities like Mercenary Strongholds and Legacy's Fortress and looting Reward Rifts.
If you stumble upon a V-R11 Weapon Case, you can exfil with it and unleash it some other time, say when you want to enter a Dark Aether Rift. However, if you exfil with a V-R11 or any other Wonder Weapon, it'll disappear and convert into 400 XP.
For now, at least, you cannot get Schematics for the V-R11.
How to use the V-R11 Wonder Weapon
The V-R11 is capable of transforming zombies into humans and humans into zombies with a single shot. Turning a zombie into a human will give you an ally that'll fight with you and distract foes like a Hellhound. But if you transmogrify a mercenary into a zombie, they'll begin attacking and feasting on other mercenaries!
While you can't transform Operators with the V-R11 Wonder Weapon, you can shoot them to grant them a buff.
That's everything there is to the V-R11 Wonder Weapon! Look for Season 1's brand-new Wonder Weapon in Mystery Boxes and Weapon Cases and use it to transform the undead into the living and vice versa.
