MW3 Season 6: How to disable jump scares
You can disable the jump scares from the Halloween event from the Accessibility settings menu.
The latest Halloween event for Modern Warfare 3 has been introduced with Season 6, meaning plenty of spooky skins and in-game scares. However, this year there is an option for getting rid of the jump scares that will plague the October month.
How to disable jump scares
To disable jump scares, you'll need to head to the 'Settings' menu and select 'Accessibility'. At the bottom of this menu, there is a new option called 'Disable Jump Scares', which lets you deactivate them during gameplay.
Setting this option to 'On' will disable all jump scares, meaning you can play freely during the spooky season of October without any loud, scary noises making you jump out of your skin.
It's been a long-requested feature since the early Halloween events, and while last year they featured a toggle for the Battle Pass jump scares, it didn't affect the normal gameplay in Multiplayer, Zombies, or Warzone.
For people who are sensitive to the nature of jump scares, or those who just don't want to be scared while trying to relax and play COD, it's an essential feature.
With Black Ops 6 launching at the end of October, the option will likely be there too and hopefully is a regular part of the franchise going forward.
