Knowing whether MW3 beta progress will carry over is essential for any player looking to get a head start in their Modern Warfare 3 grind.

The beta period will offer the community the ultimate opportunity to jump into MW3 and familiarise themselves with the gameplay, weapons, and of course, a few of the maps.

As mentioned, some fans will be keen to get as much XP as possible in the MW3 beta so they already have a lot of attachments unlocked at launch.

So, does the MW3 beta progress carry over, or is everyone reset back to a fresh account when Modern Warfare 3 arrives on November 10?

Does Modern Warfare 3 beta progress carry over?

mw3 Operator carrying AR

No, unfortunately, the progress you make in the Modern Warfare 3 beta will not carry over to the game's launch.

This is confirmed on the official Call of Duty beta page which states that "experience will not carry over from the Open Beta."

As a result, there's no point grinding out for attachments or focusing strictly on levelling up. Instead, it's best to enjoy the MW3 beta and use it as a time to get more experienced with the game.

Sniper MW3 perks

While XP not carrying over to MW3's release will be disappointing for some fans, it does mean everyone will be on a level playing field at launch.

Also, it's a chance for Sledgehammer to evaluate the meta ahead of the game's release and make any necessary changes to improve the gameplay.

So, while MW3 progress may not be carried over to November 10, it's still worth getting your hands on the incredible Zombie Ghost and Lockpick Operators while you can. Luckily, we've got guides for both cosmetics.
