All New MW2 Season 2 Multiplayer Maps
With a need for more creativity, here are all of the new Modern Warfare 2 Season 2 multiplayer maps.
Are you interested to know what the new MW2 Season 2 multiplayer maps are? The Call of Duty developer is readying an emergency airdrop for both Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2, after leaving them both in the dark for two weeks amid a barrage of assaults from the fans and wider community. With Season 2 on the horizon, it's make-or-break for Infinity Ward to inject some passion and entertainment into MW2, especially the multiplayer map pool which is yearning to be filled up.
So, with a need for more places to shoot and kill, here are all of the MW2 Season 2 multiplayer maps.
All New MW2 Season 2 Multiplayer Maps
Despite a rich need for original multiplayer map designs in Season 2, there will only be two that will be added to MW2 this season.
As far as the developers have indicated, both multiplayer maps will arrive at the Season launch, rather than spread out throughout the season. This does leave opportunities for the devs to expand the pool later in the mid-season update, but the roadmap has not indicated that this is their intention.
The two MW2 Season 2 multiplayer maps are:
Dome
The first multiplayer map arriving in Modern Warfare 2 Season 2 is Dome. A perfect remaster of the Modern Warfare 3 (2011) map will come to the reboot sequel, serving as one the third consecutive post-launch remastered map, following Shipment and Shoot House.
Unlike the last two Dome redesigns (Radar in Vanguard and Unearthed in Ghosts), this version will capture all of the essences that we loved in the original design, keeping the layout the same and giving it a modern-day glow-up.
Valderas Museum
Finally, Valderas Museum is getting added to Modern Warfare 2. Serving as an imitation of the Getty Museum in Los Angeles, the map was pulled from the game before its release despite featuring in the Beta, and players have been awaiting its return ever since.
Whether this can be labelled as a "new map" is up for discussion, but that's what it's being dressed up as by the developers, and it is the second and last multiplayer map in MW2 Season 2.
Both of the MW2 Season 2 multiplayer maps will arrive on February 16, as soon as the update is released.
