Velma combos

While her combo game is not her strong suit, Velma is not completely without combos. She likes to pop opponents into the air using either her down-air or a grounded side combo into a grounded up-normal finisher. Afterwards, she can juggle with up-airs.

Velma can also use her forward-air or her grounded side- and down-normals to try to push opponents off the stage. There, she can combo into her down-air, which she can reliably use to keep forcing opponents down and ultimately past the bottom blast zone.

Velma perks

Velma's perk list in MultiVersus

Perk Effect
Knowledge Is Power Your ally gets three gray health for a few seconds after picking up evidence.
Studied You spawn with one piece of evidence already collected.

While her offence is hardly lacking in the first place, Velma thrives when she uses a line-up of Offence perks to make her hit even harder. In particular, all of her recommended perks affect her projectiles, allowing her to safely rack up damage from a distance.

Deadshot causes her projectiles to deal 5% more damage, while Shirt Cannon Sniper causes projectiles to deal 7% more damage to far-off opponents.

Finally, Ice to Beat You! causes projectiles that deal knockback to apply one stack of Ice. With enough projectile zoning, this perk allows Velma to freeze her opponents.
