Iron Giant combos
Like many characters, Iron Giant likes to start combos with his down-air in his regular mode. He can follow up with a well-timed neutral-air, which can then combo into up-air and ultimately an up-special to knock his opponents off the top of the screen.
While its start-up is a bit slow, Carry On is also a solid combo starter if he can land it. After grabbing his opponent, he can cancel out of it with another attack, potentially allowing him to combo into a kill move like his grounded up-special.
Iron Giant perks
Perk | Effect |
Afterburners | When the rocket boots ignite they leave behind firewalls. |
Static Discharge | Passive grants a stack of thorns for each source of grey health. |
Wrong Side of the Bed | Spawns with some of the rage metre filled. |
Static Discharge is further complemented by the Utility perk Retaliation-Ready. This perk grants allies one grey health for three seconds after they hit an opponent with a projectile that deals knockback.
Meanwhile, Iron Giant can boost the strength of his grounded normal attacks with the Offence perk Wildcat Brawler.
Finally, the Defence perk School Me Once… helps Iron Giant by giving him a projectile block buff for two seconds after he takes knockback from a projectile. As an otherwise easy target, this perk makes Iron Giant less susceptible to getting walled out by zoners.
