What is the most valuable Paradox Rift card?
The most expensive card in the Paradox Rift set at the moment is the Special Illustration Rare variation of Roaring Moon ex. This Ancient Pokemon is one of the mascots of the Paradox Rift expansion, and it's easy to see why it's become so popular with an epic design featuring other Ancient Pokemon like Scream Tail.
Right now, the second most valuable card in this set is the Special Illustration Rare variation of Iron Valiant. This is essentially the future counterpart to Roaring Moon in the Pokemon Scarlet & Violet games. Apparently, Violet's Paradox Pokemon aren't quite as popular as Scarlet's, but at least Iron Valiant is up there in value (though Iron Hands is doing quite well too due to its playability).
The third most valuable card in this set is the Special Illustration Rare variation of Gholdengo ex, which certainly looks expensive with its golden shine! I was lucky enough to pull this one from an Elite Trainer Box, and it's easily my favourite design in the new expansion.
Unsurprisingly, most of the ten most valuable cards are Special Illustration Rares. These gorgeous new variants have been the must-have pulls in the Scarlet & Violet era of the Pokemon TCG - beating even the golden Hyper Rare variants in popularity. Interestingly though, Groudon's regular Illustration Rare is beating out many of the Special Illustration Rares, probably due to its status as an iconic Legendary Pokemon and its absolutely awesome artwork.
It's worth pointing out that, as always, the market values of these cards will fluctuate over the coming weeks, especially as hype begins to die down and collectors start to figure out which ones are truly rare. But the prices above should give you a good idea of what's going to be the must-have chase cards.
