Selecting what to play during your free time can be a tough job, so finding out how many hours you need to pump into a game can be really beneficial.

If you want to know how long it takes to beat Monster Hunter Rise, then look no further.

How long is Monster Hunter Rise?

Rise is a sprawling RPG with many, many missions to undertake. The sheer variety of monsters to take down is staggering, and with multiple upgrade paths for your character, you could end up pumping in an endless amount of hours to achieve everything.

The answer as to how long it takes to beat isn’t as straightforward as it may seem. For a standard main quest playthrough, it’s estimated to take just over 20 hours to beat the game, but there are many more factors to take into account which could drastically buff your runtime.

The game not only has a single-player path to follow but if you’ve got a few friends, there’s also a cooperative campaign to follow which could double - maybe even triple - your playtime.

It’s estimated that a 100% playthrough can take up to 150 hours, which includes unlocking everything and upgrading all of your weapons. If you’re just aiming to complete both campaigns and the side quests available, you’re probably looking at roughly 75 hours to achieve everything.

Later this year, Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak - a huge expansion - is expected to arrive on the systems it is yet to launch on. If you’re picking this up, expect the numbers to double, as it’s a substantial add-on that practically serves as a sequel.
