Tactical Stance, or Tac-Stance in Modern Warfare 3 is a new feature that could just change the way you play your matches.

With all the weapons available in Modern Warfare 3, learning how to make the most of Tactical Stance in the game may just help your aiming in online matches, zombies or the campaign.

What is Tactical Stance in MW3?

Tactical Stance in Modern Warfare 3 is a new mechanic that has been introduced to improve your mobility while aiming down sight or firing from the hip.

Rather than aiming down the sight fully, you can hold the weapon at a slanted angle so you still have a pretty open vision while you’re firing. Think of it as a middle ground between ADS and hip firing.

While it may seem like a small addition, having this level of control while aiming can improve your mobility and reduce your chances of being caught in a hellfire of bullets.

How to use Tactical Stance in MW3

Tactical Stance should automatically be available when you first start playing Modern Warfare 3, however, this can be changed in your settings menu. On the controller, you’ll see in the image below that Tactical Stance is set to the Down Button by default when you’re aiming.

While this is the default, it can be mapped to another button if that isn’t comfortable for you.

That’s everything you need to know about what Tactical Stance is in Modern Warfare 3 and how to use it in your matches. There are plenty of new ways to play in Modern Warfare 3, so be sure to check out all the Perks in Zombies.
