While trophies and achievements are tied to the campaign story, most of them relate to your activities in the online multiplayer and Zombies mode.
How many trophies are in MW3?
There are 40 trophies in total in Modern Warfare 3, including the Platinum trophy for PlayStation players who can get every other trophy in the game.
The MW3 trophies are broken down into the following rarity:
- 1 Platinum
- 5 Gold
- 5 Silver
- 29 Bronze
Does difficulty affect trophies in MW3?
Difficulty settings will affect one of your achievements in Modern Warfare 3, but only for the campaign section of the game. The ‘141 Ready’ trophy requires you to complete the campaign on Veteran difficulty.
If you’re looking to blast through the trophies quickly in MW3, it may be best to play the campaign on the Veteran difficulty first so you can unlock both the ‘141 Ready’ and ‘Never Bury Your Enemies Alive’ trophies at the same time.
