How to find 'Marko's Memories' in Marvel's Spider-Man 2
Marko's Memories are fragments of Sandman's consciousness that have spread across New York, here is how you can find them all and what you get in return.
Marvel's Spider-Man 2's Marko's Memories are collectables that can be found in the aftermath of Sandman's attack at the start of the game. Marvel's Spider-Man 2 has plenty of collectables all over the city, each rewarding you with useful resources.
Marko's Memories are crystalline sand formations found throughout the game containing memories belonging to Flint Marko, the Sandman. Here is what you need to know to find Marko's Memories and what you get for finding them.
How to find Marko's Memories in Spider-Man 2
Tracking down Marko's Memories is pretty straightforward, as they are visible from far away and will be marked on your map when you get near them. There are 13 in total, spread across 8 districts. As they are remnants of Sandman's attack, there are more of them closer to where he initially attacked (the Financial District) and they spread out from there.
Here are the districts where you can find Marko's Memories:
- Central Park
- Midtown (x2)
- Greenwich
- Chinatown (x2)
- Financial District (x4)
- Little Odessa
- Williamsburg
- Downtown Brooklyn
You will be able to see many of the locations marked on your map, but not all will be visible at first. This is because the map must be filled out in order to see the locations of collectables. That said, you can still see which districts have Marko's Memories on the checklist on the map.
Using this, you'll know which districts to check, and which you have already gotten. If you can see there is a Sandman memory in a district but the icon isn't on your map, head to an uncovered part of the map in that district.

Once you're there, get up to the highest point nearby, then press R3 to scan the area. This will show you all nearby collectables, the ones you have not discovered will be marked with a beam of light. Also, Marko's Memories produce large clouds of sand that can be seen from very far away, making them easy to spot.
Once you get there, you simply need to defeat the Sandman clones and then pull out the crystal to get the memory.

Rewards for collecting Marko's Memories
Finding Marko's Memories will reward you with a chunk of experience, and some City Tokens. This is one of the three rare resources you need, along with basic Tech Parts, for all of the upgrades in the game.
These resources are used for everything from new suits, to suit powers, to unlocking and upgrading gadgets. Alongside Hero Tokens and Rare Tech Parts, they are required to get all of the suits and upgrades in the game.
There isn't a specific use for each, they are all required interchangeably across the various unlockables. As such, you will want to gather them all to upgrade your gear and your look.
