When Is MultiVersus Free To Play?
The good news is that MultiVersus will be free to play on launch, and is free now for the open beta, however we don't know exactly when it's set to release in full. As we said before, the open beta has officially begun, and will open up even more for everyone once July 26 rolls around.
With no end date for the beta officially stated, we can assume it will carry on until Play First Games feel ready to launch the 1.0 version of the game sometime later this year. This is also likely due to the fact that all progress will carry over from the beta to the launch version.
MultiVersus is available for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC for the open beta period, and more platforms could also be added closer to or after the launch of 1.0. That's all for our primer on whether MultiVersus is free to play, and now you know that the game is fully free for the open beta period, and will continue to be after launch later in the year.
