God of War Ragnarok has a number of hidden regions to find, with one of them being an island on the back of a whale. Lyngbakr Island can be difficult to find, so we'll cover the full process for getting there.

How to unlock Lyngbakr Island

You can unlock the Lyngbakr Island by playing the Drum located past the locked door in The Watchtower. This is a Hidden Region situated on the Central Island of the Bay of Bounty, the same Island where Sindri's Shop is located.

On the western part of the Island, you will find an explosive pot that you can break to get rid of debris covering the climbable structure leading to The Watchtower.

Assuming you have reached The Watchtower, you will find the key to unlock it in a chest located on a small Isle located north of The Watchtower. Above is a map screenshot that shares the exact location of the said chest and Key to The Watchtower.

Once you have the key, return to The Watchtower and unlock the door. Mimir will ask you to play the Drum. You can do that by interacting with the broken Drum and pressing the Square button to let Atreus shoot it with one of his Sonic Arrows.

Doing so will sound the Drum, and the Lyngbakr Island will appear on the back of a Giant Whale creature called Lyngbakr.

How to get the 'Making Amends' trophy

When you unlock the Lyngbakr Island, it will auto-trigger a quest that requires you to free the Lyngbakr from the shackles that bind its two fins and one tail.

Do that and then take Mimir to the Lyngbakr's eye to complete the quest and earn the Hidden Silver Trophy, Making Amends.
