How to test weapon blueprints in MW2 & Warzone 2 Firing Range
Here's how to test weapon blueprints in MW2 & Warzone 2's Firing Range before you buy them with CoD Points in the store.
Blueprints are one of the most popular items purchased in the MW2 & Warzone 2 stores, as they give players the chance to test out new loadouts and customise the appearance of their weapons.
Of course, while you can preview how the blueprints look, there was no way to test out a blueprint in the game before you made a purchase.
Well, that was until now, with the devs slowly rolling out a try-before-you-buy feature in the Firing Range for select players.
If you're one of the lucky few who has access to the new feature already, here's how to test weapon blueprints in the Firing Range. And if it's not activated for you just yet, I'll also run through when it will potentially be released.
How to test weapon blueprints in the Firing Range
In order to test a weapon blueprint in MW2 or Warzone 2, you'll need to launch the game and simply follow the steps below:
- Navigate to the Store tab
- Choose a bundle you're interested in testing
- Hover over the weapon blueprint in your selected bundle
- Press 'G' on PC, 'Triangle' on PlayStation, or 'Y' on the Xbox to head to the Firing Range
- You'll be free to test the blueprint before your purchase
As mentioned previously, this new blueprint feature appears to be in the beta phase and is only available to select players. This is likely because Activision is testing the try-before-you-buy addition before rolling it out to the whole community.
There's been no announcement from the devs about blueprint testing just yet, but following the July 24 patch, it seems more players have been given access to the feature, so it's worth checking if you're one of the lucky few.
Do we know when blueprint testing will be added?
No announcement about blueprint testing has been mentioned by the devs or Activision just yet so it's impossible to give an accurate date.
However, considering it's already activated for some players and being tested, it's certainly possible it's a feature of Season 5.
This is just speculation at the moment though, but the ability to test out blueprints before you buy them would certainly be a huge bonus for the community.
