How To Make Fertilizer In ARK Survival Evolved
There are few different methods to make Fertilizer in ARK Survival Evolved. Firstly, you will need a Compost Bin. Here, you can combine 50 Thatch with three of any type of Feces to produce a single Fertilizer. This also takes 50 minutes, so have some other tasks on hand as you wait for it to finish.
One of the more efficient ways to make Fertilizer, is with the help of Dung Beetles. They can be found in various underground caves across the island. Once you track them down, you should pen them with some fences. Putting any type of Feces into the Dung Beetle's inventory will cause it to convert it into 1-16 units of Fertilizer, along with some ARK Survival Evolved Oil.
The amount of Fertilizer you receive is dependent on the size of the Feces, and it will take 15 minutes, making it more efficient from a time and quantity perspective. If you want to get a tonne of Feces for this process, you can feed Stim Berries to a tamed Phiomia or Wyvern.
It's also worth noting that Fertilizer cannot be stacked, making each one you receive take up a whole unit of space in your inventory, but they have low weight. Storing them on creatures is an effective way to bypass this, as each one can carry a max of 300 Fertilizer.
That's all for our breakdown of how to make Fertilizer in ARK Survival Evolved. Now you know how it works for fertilizing crops, along with how to make it efficiently.
