How to get & use the Skeleton Key in MW2 DMZ
Looking for the Skeleton Key in MW2 DMZ? We've got the Warzone 2 Skeleton Key location, and how to build it and use it, in this guide.
The fabled Skeleton key has arrived in MW2 DMZ, and just as you might expect, it's not as common as your other keys in the exfil game mode - making the Skeleton key location a bit of a mystery. In fact, it's not the location you should be worried about at all.
Filled with secrecy and even a little bit of sorcery, here's how to craft the Skeleton Key and what it is used for in the game.
How to craft the Skeleton Key
Well, contrary to other keys, the Skeleton Key isn't found in a specific location or earned by killing AI opponents.
Instead, the item can be found within the new Barter Station. Having arrived during the Warzone 2 Season 3 patch notes, the Barter Stations offer a new way to acquire items.
The new Plate Carriers and Backpacks, Killstreaks, Self-Revive Kits, and Keys will all be available to be bought from the AI Operators in this back-street wheeling and dealing feature. One of the Keys available will be the Skeleton Key.
The Skeleton Key will require you to trade in some rather pricey items though, and you will have to locate all of these items before visiting the Buy Stations. You'll find Skeleton Keys in the Barter section.
The exact recipe needed to earn you an Skeleton Key requires the following:
- 1 Video Cassette Record
- 1 Vintage Wine
- 1 Encrypted Hard Drive
As always, you will need to mind your step when Buy Stations to begin bartering, as these areas are always crawling with some not-so-friendly AI foes or other players trying to do the same thing. A word of advice, plan your approach, scope out the area beforehand, or even grab an armored vehicle, as the Buy Station guardians are only getting stronger thanks to the new one-shot snipers.
Where do you use the Skeleton key?
Acquiring the Skeleton Key requires much more attention, risk, and cash to find and earn, but if you've managed to get your hands on it, you might be wondering just where you can use it.
Unlike other keys, the Skeleton Key can be used to unlock any lock in the map, whether that be a door or a duffel bag. It's the most valuable key in MW2 DMZ, so you'll want to make sure you're well-prepared before you go to find the MW2 DMZ Skeleton key.
