Archaludon is a cool new evolution for Duraludon, and this guide will show you how to get it. It's not too difficult to evolve Duraludon into Archaludon in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet, but you'll need the Indigo Disk DLC.

I've been using Archaludon on my team for the expansion and it's a beast. To find out how to get your own in the game, keep reading!

How to evolve Duraludon into Archaludon

To get your own Archaludon, you'll need to catch a Duraludon first. Luckily you can find them fairly easily in the Polar Biome inside the Terarium (the top left snowy section of the map).

Once you've caught Duraludon, make sure you've progressed through the story enough to earn some BP. You'll unlock the ability to earn BP early in the story after you've reached the Terarium.

A Metal Alloy in The Indigo Disk DLC.

Then, head to the School Store inside Blueberry Academy. Head to the counter and purchase a Metal Alloy for 300 BP. It's also possible to find Metal Alloys in the Terarium, but this is a guaranteed way of getting one.

Once you've got a Metal Alloy just go to your inventory and select it, making sure Duraludon is in your party. Then use the Metal Alloy on Duraludon and it will trigger the evolution into Archaludon.

Archaludon abilities and special moves

Archaludon in battle.

Archaludon is a Steel/Dragon-type Pokemon in Scarlet & Violet. It has a base stat total of 600, which rivals that of pseudo-legendary Pokemon like Dragonite or Garchomp. In other words, it's very strong.

It learns the unique move Electro Shot, which is a two-turn attack. On the first turn Archaludon charges up and raises its special attack. On the second turn, it shoots at the enemy to deal massive damage.

Archaludon has three abilities: Stalwart, Stamina and Sturdy. I've been using one with Stamina and it gets very tanky.
