A Honkai: Star Rail pre-install on mobile and PC is highly recommended if you want to play the latest version of the game in a timely manner after the update is complete. However, not every player knows how to pre-install an update for the game.
So, let's get into the step-by-step process of pre-installing updates for Version 1.1.
How do you pre-install Version 1.1?
On PC
As verified via an Astral Express Announcement on the game's website, the step-by-step process on how to complete a Honkai: Star Rail pre-install for updates on PC is as follows:
- Open the game's PC launcher.
- Look for the "Game Pre-Installation" button next to "Start Game".
- Click on "Get Now".
- The update for Version 1.1 will start downloading
Whilst the update is downloading, you will still be able to play the game.
On mobile (iOS and Android)
Also explained in the above-mentioned Astral Express announcement, the step-by-step process on how to complete a Honkai: Star Rail pre-install for updates on mobile is as follows:
- Launch Honkai: Star Rail.
- Look for the "Resource Pre-Download" button in the log-in screen's bottom-right corner.
- Select "Get Now".
- The update will start to pre-download.
Whilst the update is downloading, you will not be able to play the game.
What's more, mobile players should keep in mind that they will also still need to download the latest client after the Version 1.1 update, in order to enjoy the game's new content.
When does Honkai: Star Rail 1.1 release?
As clarified on a separate Astral Express Announcement, the 1.1 update will be released on Thursday, 7 June 2023 at 06:00:00 (UTC+8).
Whilst the update will last for approximately 5 hours, players can receive 300 x Stellar Jade as compensation for their trouble. To be eligible, Trailblazers just need to be at or above Trailblade level 4 before the update has taken place.
To receive the compensation, players will find it in their in-game mail which will be sent to them within 5 hours of the update being complete.
Although, the compensatory mail will only be valid for 30 days, so be sure to claim it before the deadline.
