While it's not the biggest map for an open-world RPG game, Hogwarts Legacy is quite dense with its locations, creatures, and various foes to encounter. All in all, traversing across the world using your broom to fly around shouldn't take long if you prefer not to fast travel.
How big is the Hogwarts Legacy map?
Including the Hogwarts Castle and Hogsmeade, Hogwarts Legacy's map is exactly 2.95 square miles - almost 3 square miles in total.
