Hogwarts Legacy Quidditch: Can You Play It?
Hogwarts Legacy will support broomstick riding, but unfortunately, Quidditch is unavailable in the game - not at launch, anyway.
Whilst initially stated in the FAQ page by the developer that you can fly on the broom for traversal and "broom race challenges" and "to explore new and familiar locations surrounding Hogwarts Castle", Quidditch was notably absent.
You will be able to find and even explore the Quidditch arena in Hogwarts Legacy, however, the sport is not a part of it. There are story reasons for this - as explained in the game, an unforeseen injury happened to a student in the previous school year prior to the start of the game. This has resulted in Quidditch being banned for the year by Professor Black.
If you're still eager to hop on a digital broom and play Quidditch, we may have some waiting to do. It may not be all doom and gloom though, as there could be a Quidditch DLC in the works.
If you're wanting to jump on your broom right now, you'll have to play one of the other Harry Potter games that supports the sport. For example, back in 2003, EA made a video game based on the sport called Harry Potter: Quidditch World Cup. If you're hankering to score goals through a hoop while chasing to get the golden snitch, we recommend getting a PS2, Xbox, or GameCube and booting up Quidditch World Cup.
What Other Activities Are There In Hogwarts Legacy?
As we toil through the main story of Hogwarts Legacy, there will be many side quests to venture forth into. You'll be taming creatures throughout the grounds, attending all sorts of classes, exploring secret passages, and encountering tough puzzles along the way. You'll also be tasked with going through frightening dungeons along the way.
You'll be able to engage in side quests, tend to the Room of Requirement, complete races, and even engage in mini-games such as Gobstones. While the lack of Quidditch may break the hearts of some, there's still plenty to sink your teeth into in Hogwarts Legacy.
