There are a number of different mission types in Helldivers 2 that could come with various objectives, so take a look at our list of them all.

Helldivers 2 has a lot of mission types that you can play, with them changing based on difficulty or the type of aliens you're fighting. I've made a note of every mission I've played in the game, and collated it into a list for you to browse below.
All mission types
There are four Operations in Helldivers 2, with two for Terminids and two for Automatons.
The Operations themselves then contain a number of missions depending on the difficulty you select, maxing out at three on the highest difficulty.
Bug Extermination Operation (Terminids)

| Eliminate Brood Commander | Kill the Brood Commander |
| Eliminate Charger | Kill the Charger |
| Eliminate Bile Titan | Kill the Bile Titan |
| Blitz: Search and Destroy | Destroy a set amount of bug holes |
| Eradicate Terminid Swarm | Kill a specific amount of Terminids |
| Purge Hatcheries | Destroy a set amount of bug eggs |
| Launch ICBM | Set off an ICBM missile |
Defend Freedom Operation (Terminids)

| Upload Escape Pod Data | Locate data in a crashed escape pod |

| Activate E-710 Pumps | Get an E-710 refinery up and running again |

| Emergency Evacuation | Save trapped civilians |
| Launch ICBM | Set off an ICBM missile |
| Spread Democracy | Raise the Super Flag |
| Eradicate Terminid Swarm | Kill a specific amount of Terminids |
