How to skip practice in Forza Motorsport
Knowing how to skip practice in Forza Motorsport will save you a ton of time if you want to skip through the career mode. Here's what you need to know.
Forza Motorsport makes you start practice before every event, leading many players to wonder if there's a way to skip the training laps. Practice does make perfect, but in Forza Motorsport, the seemingly obligatory practice is tedious. This primer details how to skip practice and get right into the part of the game that matters!
How do you skip practice in Forza Motorsport?
While you can't skip the introductory tutorial to Forza Motorsport, you can skip practice in the Builders Cup Career Mode! It seems the devs at Turn 10 really want you to practice before jumping straight into an event because the game forces you to start practice before you can begin racing. Moreover, each event lists a required number of laps you must complete before you can proceed to the laps that actually count.
However, despite practice appearing mandatory, you can skip it. To skip practice in Forza Motorsport, start practice, and once the session begins, open the Pause Menu and navigate to Exit. After selecting Exit, you can press Skip Practice to automatically forgo the practice laps and start racing for real!

Should you skip the practice sessions?
You're free to skip practice in Forza Motorsport, but that doesn't mean you always should! Practice is a great way to get familiar with a track before an event and test out changes to your car in a stress-free environment. Furthermore, completing practice awards credits and experience toward your car.
If you have the patience and are serious about winning races and progressing in the Builders Cup Career Mode, you should probably fight the urge to skip practice. But if driving laps that don't matter bores you and you're only interested in the thrill of a live event, you can opt to skip practice and do that, too.
So, that's how you skip practice in Forza Motorsport. Practice can get repetitive and is definitely not as fun as a live event with other cars on the track. If practice is proving monotonous, at least now you know how to skip it!
