Fortnite update 28.20 patch notes
McLaren 765LT supercar swerves into action
Speedsters rejoice, you can now purchase the McLaren 765LT supercar in Fortnite! You can use this car in Rocket Racing or Battle Royale mode, and there are 13 different paint colours to show off your style.
The McLaren 765LT bundle costs 2,800 V-Bucks and includes the Car Body, Wheels, Stripes Decal, Techy Decal, Lightning Decal, and the Geofade Decal.
TMNT event is about to begin
We've already seen the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles appear as skins in Fortnite, but we're about to get a huge crossover with the iconic characters as the upcoming TMNT event is set to begin on Friday, February 9.
The 28.20 update has added the files needed for this event, which is expected to include a paid-for mini battle pass to work through with rewards including TMNT-themed skins and cosmetics. Cowabunga indeed.
New Mythic weapons are on the way
It's been reported that four ninja-themed Mythic weapons are being added to the loot pool as part of the TMNT crossover: Donatello's Bo, Leonardo's Katanas, Michaelangelo's Nunchucks, and Rafael's Sais.
You'll also be able to surf around the Island on a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles-themed Hoverboard, and Supply Drops are getting a turtle-y awesome makeover (sorry, couldn't resist).
Shredder and Splinter skins join the battle
As part of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles event, mutant rat Splinter and iconic villain Shredder are both getting skins in Fortnite - joining the previously-released ninja turtle quartet and April O'Neill.
You'll be able to purchase the Splinter skin from the Item Shop, while both variants of the Shredder skin can be unlocked by purchasing the event pass and completing challenges once it goes live.
New quests to complete
Dedicated quest-doers might have noticed the latest Weekly Quests weren't added to the game on Tuesday like usual, but the good news is they've now arrived with the v28.20 update.
This means you can get your next fix of XP and keep powering through the Battle Pass. We've got our eye on the Surfin' Bird emote right now.
Boost cosmetics added to cars
You've already been able to customise your cars in Fortnite with Bodies, Decals, and Wheels, but now you can add Boosts to that list! Even better, these can be used in Rocket Racing mode and Battle Royale mode.
There are currently two Boosts available in the Item Shop: Startrack Boost and Ethereal Boost.
More LEGO Fortnite variants for skins
Several skins have been given LEGO Fortnite variants with this update, including the Black Widow snowsuit skin that looks set to make a comeback to the Item Shop.
That's everything you need to know about Fortnite update 28.20! Make sure you visit our Fortnite homepage for more news and guides, including the latest free skins and the best landing spots to secure that crown.
