Fortnite Siege Cannons are a new addition to Chapter 3 Season 2. This nifty piece of Fortnite machinery is capable of both dealing substantial damage and serving as an on-the-fly form of transit. This guide details everything there is to know about Fortnite Siege Cannons including how to use them and where to find them.

Fortnite Siege Cannons are a new piece of lethal machinery introduced in Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 2. When the Imagined Order (IO) dug to the surface of Artemis, they brought with them advanced techs like Titan Tanks and Fortnite Siege Cannons.

These Cannons function similarly to the Pirate Cannons of Fortnite past, as you can use them to shoot projectiles or to launch yourself or allies a great distance.

Where can you find a Siege Cannon?

Fortnite Siege Cannons are IO technology, so the only places to find them are within IO-controlled points of interest and the surrounding areas. Specifically:

  • Command Cavern
  • The Fortress
  • Fortnite Tilted Towers
  • Coney Crossroads
  • The Daily Bugle
  • Rocky Reels
  • Condo Canyon

The IO Blimps at these locations are armed with Fortnite Siege Cannons and there are also Fortnite Siege Cannons placed tactically on the ground. Command Cavern and Titled Towers in particular contain an abundance of Fortnite Siege Cannons. There are over 20 Fortnite Siege Cannons set up between these two points of interest.

How to use a Siege Cannon

Jump in the seat of a Fortnite Siege Cannon to operate it. By default, you'll be able to move the camera around and aim destructive mortar shots at enemies and the surrounding environment. Fortnite Siege Cannons will lay waste to vehicles quickly, but enemy players will be a bit more difficult to hit. Fortnite Siege Cannons are also great at taking out buildings and forcing enemies out of hiding.

While operating a Fortnite Siege Cannon, hold down the aiming button to crawl inside. From here, you can launch yourself at a target location. While in the air, you'll have the option to deploy your glider, but you won't take fall damage out of a Fortnite Siege Cannon regardless.

How to launch yourself 150 meters from a Sige Cannon

One of the Week 1 Seasonal Quests reads, "Launch yourself 150 meters from a Siege Cannon." So, how do we do that?

First, use the information we went over above to find a Fortnite Siege Cannon. We recommend commandeering a Fortnite Siege Cannon atop an IO Blimp, as you'll be able to launch much further from these elevated positions.

Once in the seat of a Fortnite Siege Cannon, hold down the aiming button to crawl inside. Aim the cannon at an angle to generate the furthest possible distance on a shot. Don't aim straight ahead, but don't aim it straight up either — meet somewhere in the middle.

Launch yourself away, and as you start to descend, deploy your glider. Use your glider to float as much extra distance as possible. If done correctly, you should easily surpass the 150-metre threshold set for this challenge.

That concludes our comprehensive guide on Fortnite Siege Cannons. Take command of this interesting new piece of IO machinery and use it to fight back against the island's invaders.

There is plenty to do in Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 2, including grinding the Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 2 Battle Pass.
