If you’re excited to get your hands on the Magneto skin in Fortnite Season 5 Chapter 3, then I’m here to break down exactly how to unlock it.
In a season that's got a Fallout crossover alongside some significant map changes and an assortment of unvaulted weapons, Magneto is the latest mid-season Battle Pass skin that Marvel fans can enjoy.
Magneto skin challenges
To get the Magneto skin in Fortnite, you’ll need to purchase the Chapter 5 Season 3 Battle Pass and complete themed challenges to unlock it - something a few Fortnite fans aren't too happy about.
There are two pages of quests, and you'll need to complete three of Page 1 before unlocking Page 2.
Page 1 Quests
Quest | Reward |
Visit Weapon X Lab | Knock, Knock, Clang Loading Screen |
Collect Magneto Power | Magneto's Grasp Spray |
Travel 300 distance in the air with Magneto Power equipped | Magnetized Scrap Pickaxe |
Hit 10 vehicles using Magneto Power | Banner Icon |
Complete three Page 1 Quests | Wastelander Magneto skin and cape Back Bling |
Page 2 Quests
Quest | Reward |
Eliminate 5 opponents with Magneto Power | Crushed GG Emoticon |
Block 200 hits using the Magneto Power | Magnetic Steps Glider |
Deal 2,000 damage to opponents from one story above or higher | Disassemble Emote |
Configure three Rift Beacons | Magnetism Master Wrap |
Complete three Page 2 Quests | Magneto Skin and Cape Back Bling |
Once you've completed three Page 1 and three Page 2 quests, you'll be rewarded with the Magneto Skin.
Most of the challenges are fairly straightforward - you'll just need to visit the Weapon X Lab on the Fortnite map, and get a few kills with the new Magneto Power Gauntlets. These were added as floor loot in the most recent update, and are very powerful, so you shouldn't have too much trouble racking up kills with them.
